UFO in the sky over Barcelona

On May 23, 2009, Argentine Hector Boetto visited two art exhibitions at the Caixa Forum at the foot of Montjuic and then went to the viewpoint of the National Art Museum of Catalonia to take some panoramic photos of Barcelona.
He pointed his camera toward the Collserola mountain range and pressed the continuous shooting button. Imagine his surprise when, a few days later, while carefully examining his photographs, Hector saw an unknown object flying over the city.
THE MYSTERY LOCATION ON THE MAP

One of these series contains nine images taken at a rate of seven per second. In the second frame, an object appears, quickly crossing the space on the left and disappearing on the right. The object appears very distant (or very small), so its nature cannot be determined from its appearance.

In his blog, the author presents the photographs and digital capture data in detail. He analyzed the images based on the time it takes for the object to appear and disappear, which is less than a second. Hector Boetto estimates the speed of the unidentified flying object to be between 3,240 and 3,600 km/h, "which is a fantastic speed for an object flying over Barcelona." The photographer also attempted to calculate the location of the distant object. He estimates that the UFO was just a few hundred meters behind the Allianz building, which is just over 600 meters from the observation deck where the photographs were taken. Hector Boetto calculates that the arc it traveled was between 900 and 1,000 meters.

Here is an excerpt from his blog :
"While it doesn't matter for this case, I did some calculations. Since this is an AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor lens (APS sensor, 23.6 x 15.8 cm) and works at a focal length of 70 mm, I estimate the angle of coverage to be about 23º. Assuming the subject was 400 meters behind the Allianz building, this gives me an arc of about 450 meters. So, to get a 900-meter arc, I have to double the distance and assume it was 1,400 meters from said building. In fact, there is no proof that the subject passed behind the Allianz building and could have been much closer. This is simply to emphasize that performing calculations with unreliable data leads to results that can be very different from reality."
